Calling all Superheroes to Swim, Bike, and Run with the Reston Youth Superhero Triathlon at the Ridge Heights Pool on Sunday, July 31st.
Join one of the fastest growing and confidence boosting sports. Help your kid(s) become a triathlete in a super friendly, supportive, and non-competitive environment. Your youth will feel like a superhero after completing the 1st Annual Reston Superhero Youth Triathlon.
Parents are encouraged to dress as their favorite Superhero and cheer on their athletes!
Event starts at 8 am. Packet pickup for your superhero swag will be Saturday, July 30th from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. at a place TBD.
Youth Triathlon participants will complete age appropriate distances beginning with a swim segment at the Ridge Heights Pool, followed by a bike ride and then the run
OR
They can complete a Youth Aquathlon swim - run if they prefer!
We are pleased to accommodate adaptive athletes and para athletes in this event. This includes athletes with physical and intellectual uniqueness. A clinic will be held on Saturday, July 30th (time TBD) to answer any questions that you have about the course.
We welcome athletes in this category to utilize a guide or assistant as needed. This may be a parent or another capable adult or youth. The run course will be modified to avoid hills for our athletes in wheelchairs. An aquathlon option (swim/run) is suggested for adaptive and para athletes who are not comfortable riding the prescribed distance on an adaptive bike. Athletes using lifejackets will complete a 25 meter swim.
Included with your youth's registration is a cape, assorted superhero themed swag and a medal. Register your young athletes today so they can feel like a superhero when they cross the finish line!

The event will focus on participation rather than competition and making every athlete feel like a superhero.
Registration fee for Triathlon or Aquathlon:
Tier 1: $45 (through June 12th) - complimentary for scholarship athletes
Tier 2: $50 (June 13th - June 30th) - complimentary for scholarship athletes
Tier 3: $60 (July 1st - till sellout) - complimentary for scholarship athletes
Additional donations to pay it forward are welcome. We believe that EVERY child should have a chance to cross the finish line feeling like a superhero!
Proceeds for the event benefit CORE Foundation, a 501(c)3 charity. CORE's mission is to ignite and support charitable projects which address societal needs, build community, and enable positive change.
